Perfect Stay on Coronado

Lovely historic building beautifully updated and in a perfect location. Just around the block from the main street, so everything within walking distance, yet very quiet. Very clean and bright with comfy bed and good linens. There is also a lovely side patio for enjoying a drink or breakfast in the morning. They offered a glass of champagne to welcome each guest. The continental breakfast included fresh fruit, Greek yogurt, wonderful bakery items, and hard boiled eggs. The beach is about a 5 minute walk away and we had a “peak-a-boo” view of the ocean from our window. They also have nice beach cruiser bikes to loan to guests (great way to see the neighborhoods) and towels for the beach. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. My kind of place! (note that you do have to park on the street in the surrounding neighborhoods, but it was not a problem at all).

This is a lovely boutique hotel with many amenities to enjoy. At checkin there were fresh chocolate chip cookies. In our room, we found complimentary bottled water, fresh flowers, chocolates, and a hand written welcome note. During our 3 day stay we enjoyed the included breakfast which included hard boiled eggs, yogurt, fresh berries, and very nice French pastries. The hotel also lends beach towels, beach chairs and beach bicycles-all of which we used and appreciated. On Friday night cups of beautiful charcuterie and wine were served. The hotel room itself was very clean. The location is perfect. It is a quick 5 minute walk to the beach-or shopping and restaurants.

The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Everything in the room looked clean and smelled great. I really loved that there was so much free parking and we walked to meet friends. Everything was close, including the beach.

This was our 3rd stay at the Marisol. Very good service as usual from the excellent staff. They know how to run a business. Recommend the junior suite for an even better experience. Hotel is close to everything from beach to restaurants to local sights. We will return soon!

Loved our time at the Marisol! They were SO kind and thoughtful, adding personal touches in the room that made our stay so sweet and comfortable. A handwritten note wishing us well, warm fresh cookies upon arrival, champagne delivered de gratis to our room after a long day out. The beds were so comfortable. We both took naps and slept hard! It’s a quiet place, especially at night which is nice if you want a more intimate and private atmosphere. Woke up to a continental breakfast right before check out. All in all, the front desk woman was amazing and so sweet. Had a truly amazing time and would love to go back. Haven’t felt that welcome at a hotel in a long time! Thank you Marisol!
Hidden Gem in Coronado… Perfection!

My sister and I stayed here for 4 nights and loved everything about this place. Small European hotel tucked away a block from Coronado Beach. Use of bikes, chairs, towels, yoga mats with zero resort fee! Champagne at the hotel with daily evening cookies baked fresh. The staff made us feel like family, especially Justine. Thank you. Rooms are spacious, clean and quiet. Walk to everything: shops, restaurants, bars, beaches. Relax in a intimate European style patio with evening lights. We will definitely return to this Hidden Gem in Coronado. Perfection!

Polite and professional staff. The hotel offers free bikes to see the island. Also they offer free beach towels & chairs. Plus the hotel is conveniently located, close to all the restaurants, 5 min walk to the beach. Very nice place.

The room was wonderful and the staff were outstanding. The young ladies at the front desk were ver helpful and accommodating. The lady that cleaned the room did a marvelous job. The location of the hotel is perfect. access to dinner venues was very good.

The perfect location within walking distance to amazing dining and shopping on Coronado. Extremely clean chic room with all the amenities — the bed was so comfortable. The highlight though is their beautiful courtyard — perfect for a morning mimosa or evening glass of wine. Hotel Marisol is an excellent choice for a stay on Coronado and we can’t wait to return.

Everything was in walking distance, we walked to the beach it was 2 blocks away and it was beautiful, the restaurants were amazing and the people were great, very safe and welcoming. the staff at the hotel very warm and inviting, courteous. I would recommend staying here for work vacation or fun..
A short pleasant comfy stay in a quiet location near the beach. Will stay there again.

Welcomed warmly by a masked employee. Allowed us to store our bikes in our room. Always greeted us when we came and left.
Excellent location. Very clean and spacious room. The breakfast spread was very yummy. Free bikes.

Can’t find any faults.Justine was so helpful, accommodating and very professional. The breakfast selections were outstanding. Yummy. Justine helped us with the bike selection and routes. It was so nice to be so close to beach. We had a fun bike ride. Overall, excellent hotel and location. Italian linen a plus.

Hotel Marisol is a beautifully designed boutique hotel. They thought of everything! We enjoyed the free bikes, beach towels and chairs daily. The beach was within easy walking distance as well as shops and restaurants. The breakfast was a great start each morning. The staff was extremely friendly, especially Julio! Hotel Marisol exceeded our expectations and we would definitely stay there again. We highly recommend this hotel for your stay on Coronado Island.

Great location, walking distance to many restaurants and shops. Beautiful rooms that are spacious and clean. Loved being able to use their bikes to ride around the island. I would definitely recommend staying at this hotel.

Lovely quaint hotel, super sweet staff. Bikes and beach chairs and towels were easy and quick to borrow. Breakfast was perfect – just enough variety to please every pallet. Champagne and cookies were an unexpected treat! Great location. Coronado is so easy to get around.

No complaints whatsoever. Great staff too.This hotel was fine tuned.. from the classic elevator to the fresh flower smell upon each entrance. The breakfast was simple but solid, and the gathering areas were very welcoming. They designed the hotel with simple elegance. Rooms were spacious and comfortable.

Understated elegance, great location just off Orange Ave with a short walk to the beach and just about everywhere else. Accomodating staff – bikes and beach chairs for your use. The breakfast (included) had an amazing variety and we loved dining and lounging in the exterior quiet courtyard for eating or lounging – At night there are twinkling lights and gas fireplaces (if needed) The bed, pillows and linens were very comfy and the room was very quiet and immaculate . I wasn’t familiar with the term “boutique hotel” and like the consistancy of well known chains located on the beach (or have a view of it) and have a pool and gym – so I was hesitant. This exceeded my expectations. Finally they don’t have parking and they don’t soak you for valet / tipping! We always found a spot in a great location. (In fact you could Uber over from airport and never need a car!) We had driven in from the hustle and bustle of West LA so this was a quiet oasis for us and we loved it!

The breakfast was simple, healthy and well presented. The availability of bikes, chairs and towels for the beach was great. Rooms were all renovated and very nice. Nice courtyard for enjoying the beautiful evenings. Great location within a couple blocks of the beach. Close to many restaurants and shops. The property was quiet and a very relaxing place to stay. We’ve never stayed at a boutique hotel, but this was a really pleasant surprise.
